Lena Heyer

He was predeceased by her husband John Heyer, son David Heyer , daugher-in law Marg Heyer and her siblings.

Lena is survived by her two sons Donald (Bonnie) Heyer and Gary (Marcy) Heyer, six grandchildren and seven great grand children.

Lena lived on her farm up until recently. She had a great love for her farm life, the outdoors, including camping and canoeing and especially fishing.

She had her own herd of cattle which was a great joy to her. She calved out her own calves until the age of 86 when she decided that was enough. Lena also loved her dogs which she spend so much time with and chatted away to.

Lena will always be remembered for working hard but to always make sure there was time to visit as you did so. She was always very welcoming to all that came thru Salmon Valley, offering a meal and a bed.

A Graveside Service will be held January 22, 2022 with a Celebration of Life on the May long weekend in Fort St John.
