Marie Emily Ashley Yates Teichman - Cecil

We are saddened by the unexpected death of Marie on March 21, 2026 in Prince George, BC. Marie's roots are in Middle River where she was a member of the Tl'zat'en Nation. Marie sat with the Lhts'usmusyoo Clan. Marie's husband, Bradley Cecil (son of Elizabeth Stephens and Albert Robinson; grandson of Dawn and Livingston Stephens) carries the crest of the eagle and is from the Nisga'a Nation.

Marie was known for her love of sparkles, cats, babies and Marvel movies. While her attraction to sparkly things may have decreased over time, the gravitational pull toward cats could not be fought. We are grateful that Marie got to experience the joy of motherhood - she leaves behind a legacy in her son Logan.

Marie is predeceased by “Little Mom” (Loretta Yates), her father (Alex Prince), her maternal grandparents (Mary Cecile Monk and Walter Joseph) and her paternal grandparents (Marion nee Murdock and Mac Prince). Marie leaves behind her husband, Bradley, her son Logan and her step-sons Bradley Jr. and Charlie. She also leaves her parents (Matthew and Martha) and biological and adopted siblings (Marion, Stephanie, Silas, Pamela, Tania, Bradley, Melissa, Jazmine, Kasheen). Her loss is also felt by a multitude of aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws - related either by birth or love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services Lakewood Chapel, 1055 Ospika Blvd, Prince George, BC, V2M3R7, CA, on April 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
