It seems like yesterday that you left us and went home. I know in my heart that you are in a very beautiful place but that doesn't make it easier. Sorry it has been a while since i have wrote down  some words. We all miss you so so much and the heartache will never weaken of pain. there are days that i can  feel you near and sometimes your voice sounds so clear. Matt, well you would be proud of me, i actually got into a chopper! It was the most amazing experience to see what you got to see everyday. I understand your love for flying now. I miss you so much. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt when he piloted/guided a heli trip in March.  We paired up, and talked during the hour walk around the lake.  He mentioned snowmobiling and talked fondly about sledding with his father.  Being a sledder myself we talked about this for much of the time.  I could see his love for sledding, flying, family and life.  I'm so sorry to hear of this loss.  With sympathy.

Dear Mike, Bev and Family:
so sorry to hear the sad news of your son. You must have been so proud of him! Mom and I had heard of the accident but had no idea the pilot was your son. Our prayers are with you all at this very hard time.

To Matt's family:  We had the pleasure of meeting Matt on March 25 when he was our pilot and guide on a wonderful tour of the Kananaskis area.  We enjoyed the time we spent with Matt, especially the hike around Ghost Lake.  You must be very proud of him.  Our sincere sympathies to you, his family and friends, and may your fond memories of Matt bring you comfort.

It's so hard to find words to describe how sorry we were to hear of the loss of your precious son Matthew. Our hearts go out to you both, all of your family, and everyone whose lives were touched by Matthew .

Dear Bev and Mike: I have no words to say how bad I feel for your loss.
 I cannot fathom the the grief, pain, and sorrow thar you two are going through right now. to lose a child, at any age, to me, is unnatural because, to me, they are suppose to carry on with our life as we pass on as with their children should do for them.
I wish I had some words of consolation to justify this tragedy, and have the wisdom to give you some comfort through this nightmare, but all I can do is to share the pain with you, and that, I truly do. It is so sad that we are a country apart, at times like this, because we feel so helpless and guilty for not being there for you as family should be.
Some say things like this happen because it's God will, or destiny,or even providence has to be done to keep balance with the universe, to make us stronger, to repent our sins, or even to test our faith. I do not know much about these things, but what I do know God would not be that cruel. So, My prayers are with you, stay strong, and have faith, you are good people.

Matt was such a great guy- we shared many laughs together from Mud fights at the river 2 drinking "jet fuel" after his baseball games. Matt was one of those guys that you meet once and it felt like you knew him forever. Im going to miss you bud-fly high and free!


Although we never knew Matt personally his sudden and untimely death has touched us no less than if we had. 

He was an incredible young aviator who is nothing less than a hero to have saved the lives of his passengers. 

Take comfort knowing Matt remains in the hearts of many who are sharing your unimaginable loss.

Words cannot express how devastated and saddened Mike and I are about the tragic accident and loss of Matt. We feel privileged that we had the opportunity to watch him grow from a high spirited little boy to a very fine young man. Our deepest condolences to you all. I had the pleasure of knowing Matt since he was just 5 years old. His smile and enthusiam for life was always very enlightening and he was a true joy to be around. I thank God that we had the opportunity to know Matt. I could never believe what he could build with his lego. Matt was such an inspiration to us as he truly embraced his dreams with his love of flying and the excitement on his face when he told me how much he loved flying will always be ingrained in my memory. We will always miss Matt but we will carry on knowing we had the privledge to know Matt.
