Meagan was born on March 29, 1994 in her hometown, Prince George, BC. She was a beloved daughter and the youngest child of Jacquie and Kevin Gull. She was a cherished sister to Lauren and Spencer Gull; a devoted mother to her precious daughters Willow and Oaklynn Hinks and an adored aunt to Kit Kaszas. Meagan is also survived by her Grandmother Barrie Antrobus, and leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is predeceased by her Grandfather, Leo Antrobus, and Grandparents Erling and Alma Gull.
Meagan attended Southridge Elementary and College Heights Secondary, graduating in June 2012. Growing up, Meagan was often outdoors with the neighbourhood kids and played in various sports such as soccer, ringette and hockey where she made lifelong friendships. Her upbeat and fun-loving personality made it easy for Meagan to make friends wherever she went throughout her life and she always seemed to be the life of the party. Meagan is remembered as being creative, determined, headstrong, and enjoyed music of all sorts, but especially electronic as Shambhala Music Festival held a very special place in her heart.
Meagan’s greatest accomplishment came on New Years Eve, 2015 where she and Brandon Hinks welcomed their first daughter Willow and then once more in November 2017 to their second daughter, Oaklynn. Meagan was a devoted mother who poured all of her love into her children and into being a gentle, nurturing and empathetic parent. Meagan also had a passion for art in various forms. She was usually busy creating paintings for her family and friends (consider yourself lucky if you own an original piece of her art!) She also enjoyed expressing herself creatively through hair and makeup. This eventually led Meagan to pursue her own business in beauty in 2022 when she earned her Spray Tanning Certification. Meagan later expanded on her creative passion and added makeup artistry to her business, where she showcased her makeup talents for wedding parties and other special events.
For many people who knew Meagan closely, it was also no secret that she suffered immensely from chronic pain that left her debilitated for much of her days. As a result, her mental health eventually took a large toll on her day-to-day life, and she tried desperately to find relief. Meagan’s family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, to please consider donating to the following organizations in her memory:
• The Chronic Pain Association of Canada
• The Canadian Mental Health Association of Northern BC
• Fibromyalgia Association of Canada
We invite you to please join us in remembering Meagan’s Life on September 14, 2024 at 777 Kinsmen Hall between 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
