He is survived by the love of his life, Verona (Roni) Gunderson, his mother Gloria Helen, brother Heath Leigh, numerous family members and the most amazing friends. He was predeceased by his father Ron.
Scott fought the toughest battle of his life; unfortunately he lost. “F” cancer! He was so positive and fought it to the end. He waited for “his” Oilers to make a comeback. He was a man’s man; tough on the outside, but very loving on the inside. His laugh was contagious. His people were his people for life (Ed, Dennis and Missy). No matter where he was in life, everyone always got back together.
He was surrounded by people who he loved and loved him. He really loved you. He wouldn’t tell you that though. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
I’d especially like to thank Leisa for being there for us both. Thank you, truly, to the PG Rotary Hospice House for the most compassionate care. A special thank you to all the nurses at UHNBC, Dr. Palerme and Dr. Shepherd.
Arrangements are through Fraserview Crematorium in PG. No service is planned at this time. Please have a bbq, a cocktail and crank up the tunes in his name. He’s too busy walking our dog Niki and hanging with Dennis.
Donations may be made, in Scott’s name, to the PG Rotary Hospice Society c/o 1506 Ferry Avenue, PG, BC V2L 5H2.
Oilers to the end. XOXO
