Vernon Casper Badry

We are saddened to announce the passing of Vern Badry who passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 89 years. He leaves behind a life filled with hard work, generosity and a strong sense of community.

Vern was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his family deeply and was known for his hard work in building a successful business, Polar Refrigeration, and a productive farm that he cherished. Vern was also highly involved in the community, particularly with the Farmers Institute. He was always ready to help a neighbor in need, whether it was with advice, work, or a listening ear.

He cherished his time caring for his cows, riding his quad around the farm and spending time in the fields. In his downtime, Vern enjoyed gathering around the campfire with family and friends, sharing stories and drinks.

Vern was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeannine, who passed on July 17, 2023. He missed her every day.

Vern is survived by his children Desmond, Nadine (Larry), Andrea (Don), Barb (Wayne), Betty and Clinton as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed but we will cherish the memories of the special times we shared together.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
