Walter (Wally) Norman Janzen November 3, 1935 August 20, 2014 Wally Janzen entered the place God had prepared for him at the age of seventy-eight, on August 20, 2014, in his beloved community of Mackenzie, B.C. During his life, he earned his living as an Autobody mechanic and owned his own business for 25 years. Besides his growing love for God, his greatest passion was his family, which included his wife Claudette, three children, Jackie, Joanne and Jeff and their spouses, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Other passions included his love for golf and fishing. Wally was a member of AA for 51 years. His relationship with Jesus and the family of God kept him strong and encouraged. In more recent years after retirement, Wally took on projects and events, such as, establishing the memorial gazebo that sits as a jewel in the centre of the Mackenzie Golf Course. He ran a father and son golf tournament he named the Daniel Classic. Although Wally experienced a year long illness, his positive attitude allowed him to enjoy everyday to the fullest. He was excited about the dawn of every new day and was content to say at the end of that day, "It has been a good day, eh Mom." While golfing one day he was excited about his hole in one! He always said, "But I am more excited about this....one day I will be 'whole in One!" He is presently just that! A Celebration of life is being held on August 30, 2014 at 1 pm in the afternoon at St. Peter's Church in Mackenzie, B.C. Lunch to follow.
