

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Werner, who left us at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered not only for the length of his life but for the depth of his character and the impact he had on those around him.
As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Werner played a vital role in shaping the lives of those closest to him. His guidance, love, and wisdom enriched the lives of his family and will be a lasting legacy.
Werner was a man of unwavering faith, a dedicated servant of God, who found solace and purpose in his religious convictions. His life exemplified the values of hard work, compassion, and a deep sense of duty to his community. His commitment to serving others took him to Mexico to help build churches and to contribute to many other philanthropic organizations.
Werner found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from camping and game nights with friends and family to picking berries and collecting golf balls. Gospel music was a source of comfort and singing hymns brought him great joy throughout his life.
Werner will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the memories we shared, the lessons he imparted, and the love he generously gave. May he find eternal peace in the arms of the Lord.
He is survived by his son’s Dan (Glendale) and David (Lisa); grandchildren Kristopher (Maegan), Cortni (Juston), Tyler and Jacqueline along with great-grandchildren; brother’s Ernest (Alma) and John (Charlotte); sister’s Margaret (Stan) and Sylvia (Stan).
Werner is predeceased by his wife Jean; brother Walter (Lorraine); sister Gertrude (Les).
A Graveside Service for Werner will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at 11 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3300 Memorial Park Lane, Prince George, BC. Following the burial, please join the family for a reception at College Heights Baptist Church, 5401 Moriarty Crescent.
