John B. "Bud" Houck

Born May 9, 1939 at Mullens, WV; he was a son of the late Floyd S. and Mary Elizabeth Whitt Houck.

Bud was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Prudich.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 ½ years, Linda Houck; a daughter, Beth Pennington and husband, Randy of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Kevin Houck and wife, Kim of Roanoke, VA and Shawn Houck and wife, Tami of Vinton, VA; six grandchildren, Ashleigh Stafford and husband, Davey, Jordan Pennington, Nicholas Houck, Jamie Houck, Savannah Houck, and Harrison Houck; two great-grandchildren, Cayden Stafford and Sarah Beth Stafford; three brothers, Floyd Houck and wife, Cynthia, Dewey Houck and wife, Sheila, and Terry Houck and wife, Bobbie.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of John B. “Bud” Houck will be held 11:00AM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Hugh Cole officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society in Bud’s honor.
