Billye Sue Russell

Billye was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on January 14, 1945 to William and Charlene Tidwell .

Billye graduated from Washington High School in 1963. She was well liked by all that knew her. She was very playful with her sisters as they spent summers together swimming. She loved a great prank and was quite the jokester. In 1972 she was crowned queen of the RLRA of the Lawrence Livermore Lab.

She married Edson Roy Russell on April 9, 1976. Billye and Edson enjoyed all that life had to offer. They loved dancing and music, camping, fishing and many other family activities. Billye and Edson were long haul truck drivers and drove as partners for many years until Edson became ill and had to stop. In 2001, when Edson passed away Billye worked for Goodwill for a short time until she became ill. She retired and moved to Prineville as it was her and Edson’s dream to live there.

Billye had a great sense of humor, and beautiful brown eyes. Her life was well loved, she was loved by everyone.

She is survived by her son, Roy Russell of Klamath Falls, Oregon, daughters;Terry Lucero of Junction City, Oregon and Tammy Porter of Veneta, Oregon. She is also survived by her sisters Eva McAtee of Prineville, Oregon and Brenda Rhoades of Tracy, California. Billye loved and enjoyed 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edson Russell and her parents.

A funeral service for Billye will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 1PM at Prineville Funeral Home. There will be a committal and celebration of her life to follow.
