I'm sending condolences to your family. I am a cousin of his, from Mississippi. I was a first cousin to his Dad, Woody Doyle Kendrick. When Woody would come to Mississippi, he told stories about his boys, and always had pictures to share. My Dad, Mancil Brown, was a brother to Nora Brown(Kendrick)Heinz, who was Kurt's grandmother. Donna - I will call you this weekend.  I got your vm message and was so sad to hear we've lost Kurt.  I know he kept in contact with my mom (Charlotte) and dad (Wally) over the years.  I always enjoyed hearing from one of you two - or finding out the latest news he'd shared with my mom.  I know you'll miss him a lot - and I'm sorry for that loss.  I will call you and see how you're doing.

My name is Mike Ageno and I worked with Kurt for quite a few years at J&R Distribution in Stockton California.  When you work side by side with a person for several years you get to know what they are made of.  Kurt was a hard worker who took pride in whatever he was doing, wether at work or in life.  He would go out of his way to help you and accept nothing in return.  Kurt was the kind of guy that I would refer to as "wears a white hat", he was one of the "Good Guys".  When he moved to Oregon we tried to stay in touch but life has a way of getting busy and pretty soon contact lessens.  I am glad that I was able to reconnect with Kurt in the last few months and I am very saddened by the loss of a good friend.  I know that those who new Kurt received his gift, his spark, this I will treasure forever.
