

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Word of Victory Church, 645 SE Salmon in Redmond, Oregon. Pastor Jerry Roberts will officiate. A Private burial will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery next to her husband.
Thelma was born on May 18, 1931 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to Bernard and Annabelle (Franklin) Ray.
On April 10, 1948 she married James Sharp and soon moved to Central Oregon where they lived and raised their family. First to Bend, then Mitchell, then to Prineville in 1957.
Not being afraid of hard work; Thelma spent many years working in the local molding plants, caring for her four children and keeping an immaculate home. Family was very important to her and she cherished any time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. After retirement she enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of her gorgeous roses.
Thelma cherished her life in God and lived unashamed of His Presence in her life. She loved her church; Word of Victory, with all her heart and enjoyed the fellowship of the people.
She will be greatly remembered for her compassionate and merciful heart and her great hugs.
Survivors include her daughters; Nancy and her husband Denny Hoskinson, Judy and her husband Ron Hollis all of Prineville; sons; Virgil and his wife Cheryl Sharp of Powell Butte, and James (Ed) and his wife Robin Sharp of Oregon City, Oregon. Sisters; Joyce Downey of Toledo, Ohio, JoAnn Hagman of Columbus, Ohio and Patty Justice of Wellston, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Trevor Hoskinson, Brent Hoskinson, Jeffrey Sharp, Breann Sharp, Mychal Hesner, Ben Hollis, Kelly Hollis, Chad Sharp, Tony Sharp, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; James (3-11-2003) one brother and five sisters.
