Born in New Bedford, MA, to Edward and Esther (Falk) Bor, he rarely strayed far from his birthplace, except for the many vacations he enjoyed with his wife Susan. Or all the Patriots' games he attended as a season ticket holder. Or the time he attended his beloved Atlanta Braves' Fantasy Camp-and passed out his baseball card to everyone for years after.
He attended Providence College and graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1961. Upon graduation, he served two years in the U.S. Army and remained in the Army Reserve until 1996, having earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Judge Advocate General.
The Diocese of Fall River honored Aaron with the Thomas More Medallion. At a Red Mass dedicated to those in the community whose work promoted justice in the legal system, he was given the Ecumenical Award in 2023.
Aaron maintained a general practice of law in the firm of Falk and Bor in New Bedford for over 60 years. He dedicated much of his legal work to the youth of that city and practiced for many years in New Bedford Juvenile Court. He was honored with a plaque and dinner given by the Massachusetts Bar Association for being a 50-year member.
Aaron, predeceased by his son Jonathan, is survived by Susan (Schick), his wife of 54 years; his daughter, Rebekah Sciuto her husband Joseph; two grandchildren, Sophie and Joseph; his sister, Wilma Bor Davidson and her husband Stephen; sister-in-law, Sheila Parker; loving nieces and nephews Katie, Alexis, Nick, Lisa, Eric; and dear friend Emile Morad.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 11AM at Tifereth Israel Congregation, 145 Brownell Avenue, New Bedford. Interment will follow in Plainville Cemetery. Shiva will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Minyan Breakfast Club at Tifereth Israel, 145 Brownell Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02740 or the charity of your choice.
