Adolfo Garcia Rosa, 77, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 with his wife by his side at Brentwood Nursing Home, in Warwick. He was the loving husband of Francisca P. Rosa.Born in Horta Faial, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria D’Lourdes (Lemas) Rosa.He worked as a manager for the Budlong Manufacturing Company for many years. Mr. Rosa loved watching soccer and wrote for the Portuguese Times for many years.Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons, Hernani M. Rosa, and his wife, Laura “the daughter he never had”, of Warwick, and Carlos H. Rosa, of Cranston; a brother, Manuel Rosa, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and two grandchildren, Mikaela and Megan Rosa. He was the brother of the late Antonio and Jose Rosa.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
