Amelia Ferro

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela (Buonomano) Aiello-DeSimone and the step daughter of the late Thomas DeSimone.

Amelia was a very outgoing, compassionate and proud mother and grandmother who took pride in her family’s accomplishments and enjoyed hosting many gatherings.

She will be missed by many who knew and loved her.

She was the beloved mother of Nicholas J. Ferro, Jr. and his wife Janine, Robert Ferro and Gina Scotti and her husband Louis and devoted grandmother of Angela, Louis, Maranda, Marco, Vanessa and Nicholas. She was also the sister of the late Connie Audino and aunt of Susan and Norman Audino, Jr.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Thursday at 8:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Graveside burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amelia’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. www.romanofuneralhome.com.
