Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Victoria was the daughter of the late Justino Ciprian Sanchez and Cristina Dolores Fernandez. She was a devoted mother to Ana R. Fernandez. Her greatest joy was being a proud grandmother to Justin Odsen.
Victoria was a beloved sister to Altagracia Fernandez and Matilde Sanchez, and was predeceased by her siblings Dario Sanchez, Enrique Sanchez, Francisco Sanchez, Elisa Sanchez, Josefina Corniel, Emilio Corniel, and Maria Corniel. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love and admiration.
For over 30 years, Victoria was deeply devoted to her faith and was a dedicated member of Getsemaní Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist Church in Providence. She was loved and supported by many fellow parishioners, who will miss her presence and spirit.
Victoria was a gifted teacher of cooking and Spanish, sharing her knowledge with grace and generosity. She was known for her vibrant personality—sassy, classy, a sharp dresser, yet always humble, patient, caring, and wise.
One of the things Victoria enjoyed most in life was flowers. She truly took the time to stop and smell them—especially roses—which brought her peace and joy. Her appreciation for beauty and nature reflected the warmth she carried in her heart.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
Funeral service and burial will be private.
