

Anna M. (Izzi) DeCesare, 93, passed away February 16, 2017. She was the wife of the late Edward DeCesare. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Daria (Caccia) Izzi. She was the loving mother of Edward DeCesare, JoAnn Donahue and her husband Bruce and Richard DeCesare and his wife Deborah; grandmother of Jessica, Joseph, Brian, Bethany, Heather and Katherine; great-grandmother of Miguel, Noah, Olivia and Charlotte. She was the sister of the late Anthony, Dominic and Vincent Izzi, Ida Formisano and Adeline Manera.
Anna was a lifelong communicant of St. Ann Church. She had worked for Weingeroff Enterprises in Providence until her retirement in 1994.
Anna loved her family and friends and they always felt at home with her. There would always be a homemade Italian meal on the table, her eggplant and chicken soup were her specialties. She also had a flair for fashion and every day she would dress up with makeup, jewelry, and of course a pair of shoes with a heel.
Visitation and funeral, Tuesday 9-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
