

Adored son of the late Eugene and Esta (Danella)Piccirilli. Beloved husband of Linda (Barnabe) Piccirilli. Devoted father of Anthony E. Piccirilli Jr, and his wife Marci and David Piccirilli and his loving girlfriend Heather Moran and proud grandfather of Lucia Piccirilli. He was also the loving brother to Eileen Magnani and her late husband Joseph; caring uncle to Jamie Sroczynski and her husband Michael and Jodi Manca and her husband Andrew and great uncle of Colton and Charlie.
Anthony was born in Providence R.I and resided in Narragansett before moving to Florida. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and went on to attend Roger Williams College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Anthony worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Rhode Island State Superior Court for 35 years. He also served as a Union Officer for the Laborers International Union Local 808.
Anthony was an active member of the Order Sons of Italy, Verrazzano Committee, St. Mary’s Feast Society, Rosario Society and the Italian American War Veterans where he served as National Commander. Anthony also devoted his time as a football coach and President for the Washington County Raiders for two decades and was actively involved in the RI Preteen Football association. He loved having the opportunity to serve his community and the youth within it. In his free time he would be at home with family watching the New York Yankees or Giants along with golfing in the spring and summer.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Anthony was a strong, kind, loving and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family.
Visiting hours will be Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Ave, Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St, Cranston. Graveside burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, The Pap Corps or the American Red Cross.
