Born in Pietravairano, Italy, he was the son of the late Rocco and Maria Giovanna (Scorpio) Mariano and had been the husband of Maria (Leonardo) Mariano for 54 years.
Father of Rocco A. Mariano (Rita); Mary Jane Nardone, Doreen M. Corvese; grandfather of Antonio, Amanda, Stephanie and Matthew; brother of Fortunato Mariano, Concetta Iasimone and the late Guiseppe and Angelo Mariano.
Mr. Mariano served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Santa Maria de Prada Society and Santa Maria Civita Society.
Visitation will be held Friday, 5-8p.m. with a funeral on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927Atwood Avenue, Johnston, followed by Entombment with Military Honors in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston.
