

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Aldridge) Clay of Johnston, RI.
Arlene is survived by her three siblings, sisters, Eleanor Boyle, Marilyn Moore, and a brother, Thomas Clay; eight children, Linda Remington, William Remington and his wife Donna, Deborah Morales and her husband Juan, Edward Remington, Ann Remington, Joan Messier and her husband Jim, Elizabeth Remington, and Paula Arcand and her husband Jimmy,
She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Morales Ayala, the late Matthew Morales, Nicole Remington DeQuattro, Sean Remington, Robert Remington, Amanda Messier, Jared Messier, Andrew Messier, Bryan Remington, Hunter Remington, and great grandmother of Enrique, Christian, Julianna, and Gabriella Ayala.
Arlene was a resident of West Shore Nursing Home, where she enjoyed calling B.I.N.G.O., arts and crafts, and watching the Hallmark Channel with her roommate, Elaine. She also enjoyed dining out, spending time with her family, and visiting Foxwoods Casino.
The visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 3:30 – 6:30 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. The funeral service will begin at 6:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
