Barbara C. Maguire

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Luisa (Martinelli) DeFusco.

Barbara worked for Diamond Paper Box as a press operator from 1955 until her retirement in 1998.

She enjoyed doing word searches and attending daily rosaries and church, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Kenneth P. Maguire Jr. and his wife Laurie; daughter Kim Parent and her fiancé Gary J. Martin; grandchildren Nicholas Maguire (Amanda), Johnna Maguire (Cory), and Madison Parent (Andrew); and great-grandchildren Emmett, Liam, Ava Lynn, Vivian, and Genevieve. She was predeceased by her siblings Edward DeFusco, Anthony DeFusco, Frances Bergandino, Tessie Petronio, Connie Fazio, Louise Bianco, Assunta Lanzi, Margaret Goneconte, Anna Bianco, Helen Olivo, and Josephine Campagnone.

Her visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
