Barbara M. Costello

Costello, Barbara M. (Lanz), age 71 of Cowesett Rd, passed away on December 31st at Kent Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Charles S. Costello, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Eliza(Selwood)Lanz. Mrs. Costello had worked with the former Shepard's Dept Store as a secretary. She loved to travel and camp. She was a Den leader with the Warwick Cub Scouts, as well as a Girl Scout leader and also a CCD teacher at St. Rita's Church, and a active volunteer at St. Gregory the Great Church. She was a the treasurer of Sparrow Pt. II Resident Assco.Besides her loving husband of over 49 years, she leaves her children, Charles S. Costello, Jr. and wife Grace of TX and Velena Foster and husband Craig of Narragansett. Sister of Dorothy Deering of FL. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Matthew, Tara Costello, Benjamin and Daniel Foster Her funeral with visitation will be held on MONDAY at 10am from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick RI 02886, at 11am. Interment will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Barbara's memory to; St. Gregory the Great Church, would be deeply appreciated.
