Barbara Ethel Korpacz

Barbara E. Korpacz 68, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 2, 2020.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Barbara was the daughter of Viola (Kutniewski) and late Leo H. Korpacz Sr.

Barbara is a retired employee of the Community College of Rhode Island where she enjoyed interacting with all of the students and worked for many years as a waitress at Uncle Tony’s Pizza and Pasta where she was adored by her regulars.

When Barbara was not working, you could find her at home spending quality time with her cats. She truly had a passion for cat rescues, and more than a few found a home with her. She was well known as a Crazy Cat lady.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Melissa Korpacz of Norwell, MA. She is the sister of AnnMarie Henninger of Holliston, MA; Leo H. Korpacz Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Providence, RI, and Joseph Korpacz and his wife Dorine of West Greenwich, RI.

She is also survived by her nieces Lisa-Marie Kennedy, Brittaney Taylor and Danika Korpacz and nephews Joseph Korpacz, Alexander Korpacz and Zachary Korpacz and great-niece Brynn Kennedy.

The funeral and burial will be private. A memorial mass will be celebrated for Barbara in the near future.
