Carmela (Polese) Ferrante, 60, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024 in the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard Ferrante.
Born in Port Chester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peppino and Brigida (Tedeschi) Polese and later raised by Enzo Mesiti and by Carmela’s late sister Lucy Mesiti.
Carmela worked for Mahr Federal for almost 40 years before retiring due to illness.
She was the cherished mother of Brianna Ferrante of Cranston and step mother of David Ferrante and his wife Lauren of Warwick and dear grandmother of 3. She was also the loving sister of Rosina Casale and Maria Grimshaw of Cranston, Gaetana Sorvillo of Port Charlotte, FL and the late Lucy Mesiti and Frances Luke; aunt to many nieces and nephews and she was a great friend to all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Inurnment to follow in St Ann Cemetery.
