Carolyn W. Doyle

Scituate Carolyn W. Doyle, 83, passed away Monday morning, March 27, 2017 at the Alpine Nursing Home. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Emily J. (Winn) Doyle. Carolyn worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Human Services, for over forty years, as a Claims Examiner, Rehabilitation Counselor and Social Worker, before retiring in 1990. She was a 1973 graduate of Bryant College. During her free time Carolyn enjoyed golfing, shopping, walking and reading. She traveled extensively through the years to Russia, Brazil, Greece, Spain, Ireland, Africa etc. Visiting Bonnet Shores Beach Club with her family was always very special to her. She was a kind and loving daughter, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend, and will be very deeply missed. She leaves two sisters, Constance J. Turner and her favorite brother in law Michael, and Marjorie A. Doyle; nieces and nephews, Christopher (Alison) Turner, Allison (David) Ascher, and Ryan (Amy) Turner; grandniece, Maya Ascher; and grandnephews, Sean Ascher and Liam Turner. Carolyn's family would like to thank the staff at Alpine Nursing Home for their their very attentive care, kindness and professionalism during her final days! Visitation will be held Saturday, from 9:30 - 11:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick followed by burial in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hasbro Childrens Hospital, C/O Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box H, Providence, RI 02901 in her memory will be appreciated.
