Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Alma (Cosgrove) O’Brien; mother of Michael Kelly with whom she resided, Patricia Flint and Cathy Kelly; grandmother of 2 and 1 great-grandson; sister of Penny Edelstein and the late Karen O’Brien.
Catherine had worked as an administrative secretary for Blue Cross & Blue Shield before retiring.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. with a funeral on Thursday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by interment in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
