Cesar Augusto Mateo

César Augusto Mateo Pérez, died unexpectedly February 27th, 2026. He was born August 13, 1944 in Duvergé, Barahona in the Dominican Republic, a country he deeply loved and to which he dedicated much of his life with honor and courage. From an early age, he demonstrated a strong sense of duty, exemplary discipline, and unwavering commitment to his nation.

He served with distinction as a Captain in the National Police Dominican Republic, carrying out his responsibilities with integrity, leadership, and a steadfast sense of responsibility. His dedication to service and strength of character earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Beyond his uniform, he was a man of firm principles, a generous heart, and a noble spirit. Above all, family was his greatest treasure. He was the beloved husband of Adria Mateo Perez, and is survived by his siblings: Dilenny Mateo, Altagracia Mateo, Manuel Mateo, and Stalin Mateo.

He was a devoted and loving father to Fiordaliza Mateo, Aldrin Mateo, Wendy Mateo, Alixmery Mateo, Leoanny Mateo, LemniMateo, Cesar Mateo, Aleidy Mateo, Jonathan Mateo, Alexander Mateo, Dania Mateo, Frank Mateo and Dilennia Mateo. He is reunited in eternity with his late son, Ronny Mateo. He was also blessed with more than 36 grandchildren, among them Dylan and Andry Mateo, whom he lovingly raised as his own children.

He was a proud son of his homeland, a loyal friend, and a man guided by faith, honor, and love for his family. His legacy will endure in the lessons he imparted, the strong example he set for his family, and the love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His family and friends will honor his memory by keeping alive the values he represented: respect, discipline, commitment, and love for his country.

We lift up prayers for his eternal rest and ask the Lord to grant strength and comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 6:30 PM.

Burial in North Burial Ground Cemetery will be private.

César Augusto Mateo Pérez falleció inesperadamente el 27 de febrero de 2026. Nació en Duvergé, Barahona en la República Dominicana, país que amó profundamente y al que dedicó gran parte de su vida con honor y valentía. Desde temprana edad demostró un fuerte sentido del deber, disciplina ejemplar y un compromiso inquebrantable con su nación.

Sirvió con distinción como Capitán del Policía Nacional de la República Dominicana, desempeñando sus responsabilidades con integridad, liderazgo y un firme sentido de responsabilidad. Su vocación de servicio y fortaleza de carácter le ganaron el respeto y la admiración de todos los que le conocieron.

Más allá del uniforme, fue un hombre de principios firmes, corazón generoso y espíritu noble. Por encima de todo, su familia fue su mayor tesoro. Fue el amado esposo de Adria Mateo Pérez y le sobreviven sus hermanos: Dilenny Mateo, Altagracia Mateo, Manuel Mateo y Stalin Mateo.

Fue un padre dedicado y amoroso de Fiordaliza Mateo, Aldrin Mateo, Wendy Mateo, Alixmery Mateo, Leoanny Mateo, Lemni Mateo, César Mateo, Aleidy Mateo, Jonathan Mateo, Alexander Mateo, Dania Mateo, Frank Mateo, y Dilennia Mateo. Se reúne en la eternidad con su hijo fallecido, Ronny Mateo. También fue bendecido con más de 36 nietos, entre ellos Dylan y Andry Mateo, a quienes crió con amor como si fueran sus propios hijos.

Fue un hijo orgulloso de su patria, un amigo leal y un hombre guiado por la fe, el honor y el amor por su familia. Su legadoperdurará en las enseñanzas que impartió, en el firme ejemplo que dejó a su familia y en el amor que compartió con todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Sus familiares y amigos honrarán su memoria manteniendo vivos los valores que representó: respeto, disciplina, compromiso y amor por su país.

Elevamos oraciones por su eterno descanso y pedimos al Señor Que conceda fortaleza y consuelo a todos los que hoy lloran su partida.

La visita se llevará a cabo el jueves 5 de marzo de 2026, de 4:00 PM a 6:30 PM en la FUNERARIA PONTARELLI-MARINO, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, seguida de un servicio en la funeraria a las 6:30 PM.

El entierro en el Cementerio North Burial Ground será privado.
