

She was the beloved wife of Oliver “Bud” Roy; devoted mother of Karen A. Roy and her long-time companion Michael Pollock, and Anne-Marie Roy; cherished grandmother of Allison (Krollman) Depp and her husband Eric, and Alyssa Pollock; sister of Gloria Rappa and Linda Cairo.
Corinne was born in Providence and graduated Mount Pleasant High School in 1956. She met her true love, Oliver “Bud” Roy, when she was seventeen years old, and married him four years later in 1960. During their fifty-nine loving years of marriage, together, they had two daughters, and raised their family in North Providence, where they resided for over fifty years.
She had a long career managing several medical offices until her retirement. Trained in her youth as a concert pianist, Corinne remained a lifelong lover of piano music. She thoroughly loved Italian cuisine and took great pleasure in preparing and enjoying a meal with family.
Corinne was a devoted, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a beloved part of her family. She took great pride and thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother, and was fortunate enough to be heavily involved in her granddaughter’s life. Corinne was an incredibly generous and compassionate woman who will be deeply missed by many. She valued her family, friends, and loved ones above all else, and her memory will be cherished by all.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 2-4 p.m. Funeral Monday, at 8:15 a.m. from the PONTARELLLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.
