Daniel W. Sherman

Sherman, Daniel W.,72, of Valrico Florida and formerly of Providence, passed away Wednesday at his home in Florida. He was the beloved husband of Gertrude (Paquin) Sherman. Born in Providence on February 11, 1934 he was the son of the late Robert E. and Audrey (Sullivan) Sherman. Mr. Sherman had lived in Providence for many years. Following his retirement he moved to Valrico. Before his retirement, he was employed by The Providence Journal Company in the maintenance department for several years. Mr. Sherman was an Army veteran of WWII. Besides his wife of over 50 years, he is survived by a son Daniel W. Sherman Jr. of Valrico FL; his daughters Susan L. Cambell and husband Gary of Valrico FL, Lori A. Corsi and husband Anthony of Cranston, Dianne M. Sherman of Warwick and Cheryl A. Iannucci and husband Frank of Warwick; his brother Frederick Sherman of Providence; his sisters Lucy Bicknell of Providence, and Elizabeth Lyons of Johnston. He was the grandfather of Lisa, Frank, Gary, Jason, Carissa, Gina, and Briana. His funeral will be held on Monday at 10am in The RI Veterans Cemetery Chapel, South County Trail, Exeter.
