

Denise M. Caron (Lambert) 60, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Roger Williams Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Claude A. Caron. Denise was born in Providence, a daughter of the late O. Joseph and Cecile M. (Godbout) Lambert. She was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy and Rhode Island College, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. For 24 years Denise's devotion to her students and career as an English and Theatre arts teacher at the Classical High School in Providence was mirrored by the love and respect of her students and colleagues, for whom she served as an influential role model. Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Nicole D. Lloyd, and her husband, Benjamin, of Providence; stepdaughter Laurence Caron, of Cannes, France; a brother, Paul V. Lambert, of Falmouth, MA; three sisters, Pauline Reynolds and Claire Gosselin, both of Maine, and Suzanne Loiselle, of Warwick; four beloved grandchildren, Julien and Lucas St. Martin, and Samuel and Cecelia Lloyd; 12 wonderful nieces and nephews, and many devoted friends and colleagues. Denise's funeral will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, 4-8pm.
