Donald Morton Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz was a glazier and contractor for several glass companies including former owner of American Glass. He was a Korean War Army Veteran earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a 1948 graduate of Hope High School and a 1954 graduate of Providence College. Mr. Schwartz was a Mason of the Roosevelt Lodge, a Shriner, a longtime member of the Warwick Umpires Assoc., a former president of Warwick National Little League, and a Hall of Famer of the RI Men’s Senior Baseball League. He was a longtime member of Temple Beth-El, Providence, and an avid Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, Celtics, and Providence College Basketball fan.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons Peter W. and his wife Michelle of Scottsdale, AZ, Gary M. of Tempe, AZ, and Lloyd L. Schwartz of Narragansett, RI. He was the brother of Barbara Weihrauch of Worcester, MA and the grandfather of Andrea Breiling of Los Angeles, CA.

His funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or the American Parkinsons Association.
