Providence. Gaynor, Doris M.(Donovan), 87, of Pekin St., passed away on Sunday at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Gaynor. Born in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Emily M. (Overbeck) Donovan. Doris worked for New England Telephone Company as a directory assistance operator for 27 years. She later volunteered as a patient information operator at Roger Williams Medical Center for 20 years. She is survived by her children, Robert J. Gaynor, William J. Gaynor, Ronald E. Gaynor, Dennis M. Gaynor, Janet M. Capuano, John M. Gaynor, Kenneth C. Gaynor and Gary S. Gaynor, 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, Smith St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm .
