Dorothy H. Chase

Chase, Dorothy H. (Weeden) 87, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Morgan Health Center, in Johnston.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Margaret (Devine) Weeden.Dottie was a computer programmer for the former Allendale Mutual Insurance Company, now known as FM Global, for 40 years, retiring in 1983. Dorothy resided in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence most of her life.She leaves her two sons, Paul F. Chase and his wife Cynthia and Kevin M. Chase and his wife Kathleen; a daughter, Nancy J. Kelvey; a brother Robert Weeden; four sisters, Barbara Wyatt, Mary Lou Bonetti, Hope Votta, and Elizabeth DeLicio; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Brian R. Chase and sister of the late Richard "Buddy" Weeden and Joan Chase.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 9:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, in Saint Anthony Church, 549 Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, 4-8pm.
