She was born on December 1, 1946, in Providence. Dottie graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1964, before living in Providence, North Providence, Harmony and Cranston.
Dot was predeceased by her husband Tom Fogarty of Smithfield (1988) and her daughter Deidre Jarvis of North Providence (2017). Dot worked for 30 years at Quality Beverage in Taunton, MA – where she touched the lives of her coworkers and customers so much that they ultimately named the company’s outstanding employee award after her. Dot lived to bring joy to others – never forgetting a birthday and always filling your stomach and your heart. If you had the pleasure of knowing Dot Fogarty, you understand why people said Dottie never met a stranger.
Dot is survived by her daughter Jennifer Hill and granddaughters Morgan and Fiona Hill of Salisbury, NC as well as her son Chris Jarvis and his family – Heather Jarvis, Chloe Jarvis, Tyler Bucher-Jarvis, and Kierstin Jarvis of Southlake, TX. Dottie is also survived by her stepchildren Kim Kinzie and Mark Fogarty and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Jarvis and Fogarty clans.
