Cranston: Giroux, Edward F., 84, formerly of Pinewood Dr, passed away on Thursday at Chestnut Terrace Nursing Home in East Providence. He was the husband of the late Mary F. (Fahey) Giroux.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Sullivan) Giroux.Edward worked in the supply Department for New England Telephone for 26 years until he retired in 1986. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.He is survived by his two brothers, Henry Giroux, Jr. of Pawtucket and Robert Giroux of South Kingstown. He was the brother of the late Marie Mullervy.His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am in St. Joseph Church, Providence St., Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours.
