

Eileen (Pascale) Coletta, 68, of Providence passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Coletta, and they were happily married for 50 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ernesto and Chiarina “Claire” (Umbriano) Pascale.
She was the devoted mother of Justin Coletta and his wife Erin, Andrea Bell and her husband Joshua and Christopher Coletta and his wife Ashley and cherished grandmother of Jaiden, Dario, Mhari, Lieani, Liam, Israel and Abram. She was the sister of Ernest and Robert Pascale, Claire O’Neil and the late Ann Jensen. She was also affectionately known as “Momma Coletta” to Octavia Figueroa and family.
Eileen first met Bob in 1973, in the stairwell of Hope High School. They began dating two years later, and after a short 5-month courtship, they married in 1975. Eileen was an incredibly faithful wife, steadfast in her love and companionship. While trusting in God, she was willing to take risks and work tirelessly toward their shared goals. She was a true partner in every sense, strong in faith, and instrumental in shaping both their marriage and the life they built together. Eileen brought wisdom, resilience, and vision to their shared journey playing a vital role in the growth of their family and success of their business, Coletta Contracting Company Inc. for over 42 years. Together they established a life marked by deep love, mutual respect, and unwavering commitment.
Eileen was the most selfless and generous mother, loving her children fiercely. Everything she did was for them—cooking, attending sporting events, staying up late to help with school projects—and she did it all with patience and unwavering support. As her children grew older, she remained an amazing mother while also becoming a trusted friend, always ready to be present and available. She encouraged them in every endeavor, nurtured their faith, and celebrated their successes with pride. Nothing brought her more joy than being together with her children and grandchildren, surrounded by the love of family she cherished so deeply.
Eileen was a strong woman of unwavering faith. She centered her life on her relationship with God and trusted Him with all her heart. She was dedicated to reading the Bible and found joy in worship. Her faith was the foundation for everything she did and for how she raised her family. She served faithfully in her church, offering encouragement and support to all who knew her. Her caring heart, generous spirit, and steadfast devotion left a lasting impression on her family, friends, and community, reflecting a life lived fully in love and service to the Lord.
Eileen was an incredibly caring and compassionate person with the ability to make everyone she met feel important and treasured. Her kindness, wisdom, and encouragement left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She committed herself to friendship and mentorship, offering guidance, inspiration and prayer to many. Through her generosity, patience, and genuine care, Eileen nurtured the growth of those around her and created bonds that were meaningful, enduring, and deeply impactful.
Eileen was an exceptionally creative and talented woman with a passion for art, weaving, photography, and interior design. Eileen was a proud kitchen and bath designer for many years, after which she left to work alongside her husband and sons at the family-owned business. She loved staying active, enjoying skiing, running, and biking. She cherished the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She also treasured special outings with her grandchildren, including trips to the zoo and days at the beach. She took great joy in cooking, especially preparing Sunday dinners for her family, and loved bringing everyone together around the table. She also enjoyed baking her beloved Italian cookies at Christmas. Eileen loved to travel and was always impeccably dressed, radiating elegance and sophistication.
In every role she held— as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Eileen lived a life rooted in faith, grace and selfless love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished always as a reminder of just how deeply and profoundly she was loved.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Redwood Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Guests are asked to gather at the main gate of the cemetery 15 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
