Cromwell, Eileen(Downey) age 87, passed away on February 8th at Hebert Nursing Home. Born in New York, NY on June 25, 1920 a daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte(McCarthy) Downey. Beloved mother of Mark Cromwell of Boston MA and Sandra Sajkowski of Providence RI. Sister of James Downey of Centerville MA and Sr. Charlotte Marie Downey R.S.M. of Cumberland RI. Loving grandmother of Denise(Cataldi) Powers, Doreen (Cataldi)Scaramuzzi and Sherry(Cataldi) Bouchard, Great grandmother of 4. She was also the sister of the late Kenneth Downey and great grandmother of the late Jordan Lynn Scaramuzzi. Before her retirement, Mrs. Cromwell was employed by Gorhams Co. during WWII as an Air Craft Supply Technician. She also cared for many people in their own homes, providing companionship and health care. Eileen was a loving and caring person who will be missed by many. A funeral service will be held on THURSDAY February 14th at 7pm in The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., PROVIDENCE. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service starting at 5pm, A private burial will take place at a later date with her mother Charlotte, in Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston RI
