GOLDENBERG, ELDON S., 88, died May 7, 2015. He was the husband of Elinor (Simons) Goldenberg. Born in Providence, the son of the late Alfred and Rose (Levine) Goldenberg, he had been a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. Mr. Goldenberg was the owner of the former Bazar Paint & Wallpaper, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of the Jenks Lodge #24 F&AM. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Carol-Ann Rosen and her husband Jim of Newton, and Linda Sue Resnick and her husband Gerald of Lincoln; his grandchildren Alexander, Matthew and his wife Stephanie, and Amy; and his great-grandchild Ava. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Sperling and Helen White. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11th at 11:00 AM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence, with burial in Swan Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Mon 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
