Ellen I. Silva

Rehoboth, MassachusettsEllen I. (Harris) Silva, 86, of Reed Street, died peacefully Friday evening, October 19, 2012, at Country Garden Nursing Home in Swansea. She was the wife of the late Frank G. Silva and companion of the late Raymond Reynolds. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John A.D. Harris and Coletta A. (Flynn) Harris. Mrs. Silva was a machine operator for Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company for many years before retiring. She leaves a son, Henry Silva; four daughters, Priscilla Fratantuano, Kathleen Sullivan, Agnes Silva and Catherine Chagnon; a step-son, Frank Silva, Jr.; a sister, Elizabeth Werner; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son, John J. Silva, four brothers, Nelson, John, Albert and Henry Harris, and a sister, Coletta Dutcher. The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to South Coast V.N.A. Hospice, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, Massachusetts 02719 in her memory will be appreciated.
