Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi and Lucia (Vandocci) Calcagni and had been the husband of the late Ann (Izzi) Calcagni.
Cal had worked as an award-winning General Motors salesperson for 25 years before retiring, often recognized by GM for his outstanding commitment to his customers.
He was the father of Serene Capozza and Judith Fiore; grandfather of 3; great-grandfather of 2; brother of the late Thomas Calcagni, Angelina Marfeo and Mary Morsilli; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. with a funeral service on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Road, Pawtucket, followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI.
