M. R. Estelle (Lefebvre) St. Pierre, 90, of Chepachet passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. St. Pierre with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Born on May 22, 1935 in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Turcotte) Lefebvre. She spent her early years in the Olneyville area of Providence later settling in North Providence with her family. Estelle worked in several industries over the years, including A. T. Cross Company and Bulova Watch, before finding her most meaningful role as business manager and co-owner of Al St. Pierre & Sons, Inc. For over a decade, Estelle generously funded the Al St. Pierre Memorial Scholarship for Rhode Island high school seniors pursuing their journeyman electrical license.
Estelle was a devoted wife and mother who loved to spoil her children and grandchildren. She was a fierce bingo player, loved shopping and unique jewelry, and enjoyed traveling to the European port cities where her husband, Albert, had served during the Korean War. She had a gift for making everyone who walked through her door feel at home. To Estelle, strangers were just friends she hadn't met yet. Estelle loved telling stories that kept the whole table laughing and enjoyed being in the company of family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Alan St. Pierre (Brenda), Rory St. Pierre (Nancy), Brian St. Pierre (Maria), and Danielle Nelson (Andrew); her fifteen grandchildren: Kristin (Michael), Alan (Olivia), Ryan D. (Liz), Ryan S., Nick, Ian (Jennifer), Jacquelyn (Tyler), Christopher, Melanie, Hannah (Matthew), Kailey, Bethany, Malachi, Leah, and Ethan; and her great-granddaughter, Eden.
Estelle was also the sister of Rita Calitri and Claire Hoogasian and leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.
Estelle was preceded in death by her siblings Bernadette Gilchrist, Beatrice Arias, Joseph Lefebvre, Edmund Lefebvre and Doris Graham, as well as her daughter-in-law Linda St. Pierre, and her great-grandson Alan Cassarino.
Estelle's family extends their sincerest gratitude to Ebenezer Home Care and HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care for their compassionate support. The family would like to especially thank her caregivers Donairys, Karyln, and Rafaela, and her nurse Jenn, for the tender, loving care they provided Estelle, treating her with grace, dignity, and gentleness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 259 West Wrentham Road, Cumberland. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Estelle’s name to the Alzheimer's Association or the HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care.
