Esther Joseph Wilkinson

Esther (Joseph) Wilkinson, 91, passed away January 23, 2015 at the Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of the late James A. Wilkinson (Ret. PPD). Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Janet (Howard) Joseph. She lived in Central Falls and Providence for most of her life.

Esther worked as an assembler and clerk for several firms, including Williams and Anderson Co., Barrows Industries and Apac Tool Company. She was also an avid bingo player and was a diehard Yankees Fan.

She is survived by her children, Brenda A. Almonte and Ronald J. Wilkinson (PFD) and his wife Ghislaine; her grandchildren, Angelo Almonte IV, Kevin and Kristen Wilkinson. She was the mother of the late James A. Hutchinson and sister of the late Jeannette Mailhot, twins Charlotte and George Joseph, John B. Howard, Manuel, Frank, John, Andrew, William, Richard, Phillip, Lillian Joseph and Esther’s twin James Joseph. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A funeral home service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by graveside burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
