Frances T. McCormack

Frances T. McCormack, 99, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2016 with her loving daughter by her side. She was the wife of Joseph L. McCormack and the wife of the late James F. O'Brien.She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia O'Brien D'AloisioBorn in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Ellen (Kenneally) McCarthy.Frances excelled in school skipping three half grades then continued on to graduate from Johnson and Wales College. She was employed as as a auditor for the Internal Revenue Service for many years before retiring.In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter Kathleen O'Brien Zarchin and the late Dr. Lawrence E. Zarchin; two stepsons Terrence and Brian McCormack; two stepdaughters Maureen Theodore and Kathleen Greco; five loving grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. She was the stepmother of the late Thomas McCormack. She was the sister of the late Helen McGarty, Mary McCarthy and Margaret Hackett.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:30 am in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. Visitation respectfully omitted.In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association of Rhode Island, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02905 in her memory will be appreciated.
