

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James Albanese Sr. and Rose (D’Agostino) Albanese. Formerly a resident of Greenville, he and his late wife moved to Florida in 1995. After the death of his wife in September 2010, Frank lived with his daughter Holly Albanese and her family in St. Augustine, Florida and then Palm Coast, Florida. In 2014, he moved to Debary, Florida into his own apartment, in close proximity to his eldest daughter, Claire Albanese and her husband Alfred Ducharme. Mr. Albanese had worked for Ann & Hope and then as a department manager for Mammouth Mart in both Johnston and Woonsocket. Finally retiring in 1995, from a job as a collector for Atlas Vending, Inc.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Picerno of Ocoee, Florida; two daughters, Claire Albanese and Holly Albanese both of Florida; three sons, Frank Albanese Jr. of Ohio, Robert Albanese of New York, and Kenneth Albanese of Virginia, and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
