

Terenzi, G. John, 81, of Turtle Creek Drive, died Sunday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Angela M. (Geremia) Terenzi. They had been married for fifty-six years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Gaetano and America (Cerilli) Terenzi, he lived in Warwick for the past sixteen years, previously living in North Providence and Providence. Mr. and Mrs. Terenzi also summered in Narragansett for the past thirty-eight years. John was a senior planner for the City of Providence, Department of Planning & Urban Development, for thirty-five years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 1033. He later worked as a consultant for the Omni Development Corporation for several years. He studied at the University of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island School of Design. Mr. Terenzi was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, and was a communicant of Saint Gregory the Great Church. Beside his wife, he leaves two daughters, Leslie A. (Michael D.) Brugnoli of Warwick, and Laurie A. (Robert A. Jr.) Powers of North Providence, two sisters, Olga M. (Arthur) Pagano, and Elaine A. (Robert) Colardo, both of Cranston, three grandchildren, Erica L. (Paul E). Martineau, Dean M. (Beth E.) Brugnoli, and Ashley P. Brugnoli, all of Warwick, and two great-grandsons, Paul E. Martineau, IV, and Alexander M. Martineau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10:00 am, in Saint Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements by Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, Warwick.
