Genevieve McDermott (Nowinski), 89, of Randall Street, died Friday at her home, Charlesgate Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Henry J. McDermott. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Agnes (Jadach) Nowinski. She was the mother of Henry J. McDermott, Jr., and was a sister of Stanley Nowinski, Theodore Nowinski, Valentine Nowinski, Jr., Sophie Bielenda and Alice Yellen. She also leaves her guardian, Terry Hahn, and those who cared for her at Charlesgate, including her roommate and Odyssey Hospice. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at 8:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
