George Rocco Lavoie

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George Lavoie and the late Frances (DiPaolo) Lavoie. He also leaves his companion and soulmate, Donna St.Angelo, of almost 30 years.

He was the beloved father of George Lavoie of Providence and Lisa Ernst of Ohio. Loving brother of Alice Nardone of North Scituate. He was a grandfather of 3 and great grandfather of 2. He also was the cherished uncle of his 2 nephews, Joseph Nardone and his wife, Lori, of West Greenwich, and R.I. Rep. George Nardone and his wife Dawn, of Coventry.

George spent most of his life in the automobile business, getting his start as a teenager with his best friend and mentor, the late Leo Boyajian. He went on to own many dealerships and auto body shops through the years. Right up to his illness, George was always thinking about cars, especially a Lexus, which he owned many through the years. But the most important thing was his family, who he loved spending time with. His smile and humor will be missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
