Born in the Providence, he was the son of the late George and Martha (Sabetta) Paquin. He was the proud father of Melissa Voccio, Kevin Paquin, Amy B. Stephens and her husband Shawn and Richard W. Greene II and his wife Cara. He was a loving and proud Papa to Andru, Richard III, Harlie, Madelyn, Troy, Quinn, Tatum, Roxy and River. He was also the brother of Patricia Trillo and MaryAnn Seebeck. He is also survived by many nieces and cousins.
Upon his passing, George was employed with Security RI as Armed Security Officer.
George was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He served in the Vietnam War from 1972 – 1978 where he earned the title of sharpshooter and many other accomplishments.
George was a man of many talents. He could fix anything whether it be a car, a piece of electronic equipment or a backyard gate. He was an avid musician, music lover and a first-class drummer, playing in several bands over the years. He was a volunteer firefighter in North Providence and volunteered his time and talents with the Fairlawn Cardinals in Pawtucket for many years as a Football coach and EMT. He could handle any sort of firearm as an instructor for the NRA. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
George lived simply and required very little to be happy-his family and friends around him, his job and to be able to pass on his knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He was the first to respond to anyone in need.
His family and friends will miss him dearly.
