Georgia is survived by her husband Keith E. Johnson of 30 years and her daughters Erica J. Johnson, and Alicia E. Johnson all of North Smithfield.
Georgia was the daughter of the late Joyce and George Psilopoulos of North Providence; niece of Irene and Peter Simone, and Dennis Psilopoulos of North Providence; Dolores and the late Frank Bussick of Warwick.
Cousin to Helene Macedo and Annmarie Levin of Cranston; Frank Bussick of North Providence and Glenn Bussick of Warwick; goddaughter of John Boretos of Providence.
Georgia was born July 21, 1964 in Providence, RI. She was an only child. She grew up in North Providence.
Georgia was a cook for many years in various nursing homes, restaurants, and the former Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
She loved spending time between the coasts of Rhode Island all the way up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It was tradition that any warm, sunny Sunday as a kid, her family would go to the coast for some summer fun. It was tradition that every late September, early October as an adult, her husband and daughters would go to New Hampshire to spend time together, watching the leaves change colors.
Georgia had the absolute biggest heart. She was a very hard worker and she was the type of person that went out of her way to help anyone in need. She had such a kind soul. Because she was an only child, family and friends meant the world to her.
After her father’s passing in 1983, Georgia took on caring for her mother, Joyce for many years until she passed away in 2018.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
