Howe, Gerald "Jerry" Michael, 82, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Cherry Hill Nursing Home in Johnston, RI. He was the beloved husband of Queenie Lucy (Ruggiero) Howe. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 8, 1934, he was the son of the late William "Otto" and Mary (Simonian) Howe.Jerry is survived by a son, Anthony W. Degnan and his wife Audrey, two daughters, Ellen M. Degnan and her husband Stephen G. Antonelli, Michelle M. Howe and her husband Michael J. McKenna, his sister, Carol Hopkins, and his granddaughter, Dawn Lynn Leavitt. Jerry was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. The visiting hours and service was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10am-12 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. The funeral service began at noon. Burial was private.
